• The increases in the number of global travellers have caused problems such as overcrowding at the electronic gates (e-gates) and holding up the planned arrival timetable. Due to these problems, facial recognition was provided as a solution to use in the e-gates system.

• By using facial recognition in the airport to analyse travellers, airport security was improved significantly. Facial recognition is linked to a database where stored the information of terrorists and criminal which obtained from police records, it can identify them and keep staff on guard against them.

• By adding facial recognition in e-gates, the process of boarding plane has become time-saving. The process of matching the passport and the person by using the facial recognition was remarkably smooth, approving passengers almost instantly as they glanced at the camera.
